Code of Conduct

The Library is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all visitors. We ask all patrons to observe the following guidelines.

Respect for Others

Maintain a quiet environment. Please keep conversations low and use designated areas for group work.
Phones should be set to silent or vibrate. Please take phone calls outside the reading rooms.
Treat library staff and other patrons with courtesy and respect at all times.
Harassment, abusive language, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated.

Care of Resources

Handle books, computers, and furniture with care. Do not write in or mark library materials.
Food is generally prohibited in reading areas to protect collections. Covered drinks may be allowed in designated zones.
Do not re-shelve books yourself; place them on the designated carts or tables after use.
Use library computers for educational and research purposes only.

Safety & Security

Do not leave personal belongings unattended. The library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Smoking, vaping, or the use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited inside the library.
Please carry your Library ID card at all times and present it to staff upon request.
Leave the library promptly at closing time or during an emergency evacuation.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in the suspension of library privileges, removal from the premises, or further disciplinary action.
